About the Role
Business Development
The Sales Support Associate is responsible for ensuring smooth order processing, accurate SAP
order booking, seamless coordination with the factory, and timely tracking of manufacturing
status. This role emphasizes high customer engagement, data accuracy, proactive
communication, and ownership of end-to-end sales support processes to ensure customer
satisfaction and inventory optimization.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly budgeted sales targets and provide data-backed variance analysis when
actuals do not meet the plan.
- Ensure proactive booking of sales orders in SAP within one day of receiving the purchase
order (maximum three days in exceptional cases with proper justification).
- Maintain zero demand variation through accurate forecasting and close alignment with
customer requirements.
- Provide clear, documented explanations for any loss of business opportunities.
- Maintain real-time awareness of committed shipment dates and ensure accurate
communication and documentation across teams.
- Ensure all SAP price changes are triggered via Smartsheet and properly documented with
clear reasoning.
- Prepare and update the monthly Finished Goods (FG) stock report with accurate mapping of
customer demand against FG stock.
- Identify inventory gaps proactively and work strategically to revive demand for
non-moving FG stock.
- Freeze non-moving inventory value and prevent growth in non-moving stock.
- Maintain 8 weeks of firm purchase orders at the beginning of each month.
- Engage in proactive customer communication to mitigate potential business losses and
support long-term engagement.
- Take ownership of deliverables, show initiative, continuously develop new skills, and
demonstrate professional etiquette and time management.
Financial Accountability:
- No exclusive financial accountability.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in sales support, order booking, or business development roles,
preferably in the Aerospace sector.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Proficiency in SAP for order booking and management of sales processes.
- Accurate alignment of customer POs, forecasts, and SAP data.
- Factory coordination for order tracking, capacity management, and resolving delivery
bottlenecks.
- Strong customer communication skills for updates on order status, shipment schedules,
and forecast alignment.
- Proficiency in Excel for maintaining trackers, preparing stock reports, and backlog
analysis.
- Ability to manage order amendments, price changes, delivery schedules, and associated
documentation through Smartsheet.
